unrivalled grip
We wanted one image to carry the whole idea — grip so absolute the shoe takes the court with it as it lifts off. The surface was inspired by the movement of micro iron granules and the relief of the sole itself — a court that shifts and clings as the shoe moves.
keeping it fast
Grip and speed pull in opposite directions, so the challenge was making a high-traction shoe still feel quick. We added motion blur in-software to simulate a slow shutter, which gave the movement an organic, cinematic quality rather than a clinical CG one. With no athlete in frame, that energy had to come from the craft alone — and the sound design and court SFX carried the drama, turning an empty court into something with real charge.

our approach
We developed a version of the court surface that mimics the complex pattern of the AI-engineered sole, so the technology reads on screen before the shoe is even shown in detail.
